It is quite easy and common to practice Surfing in Tenerife<\/strong><\/span>. The beaches in the south of the island offer long stretches of sandy bottoms, rock, and volcanic reefs or various combinations thereof. <\/p>

The island is full of surfers of all ages and levels who come to try its wonderful waters, as well as hosting multiple surf schools and camps to learn and enjoy your hobby while making friends.<\/p>

Here are some of the best places to surf in Tenerife:<\/span><\/p>\n

Benijo<\/strong>:<\/span> To the northeast of the sandy bottom island, this spot is for intermediate or expert surfers. The waves accompany all year round, the wind is generally south or southeast and the best times of the day for practice are at rising or high tide. <\/span><\/p>\n

El Roquete<\/strong>:<\/span> A little further south in<\/span> Punta del Hidalgo<\/strong><\/span>, with a stone bottom, this beach is perfect for beginners. The best seasons for surfing are autumn, winter and spring. The wind is usually south, southeast or southwest and the best hours of the day are at low or falling tide. It should be noted that half an hour away there are two quite similar locations called  <\/span>Los Dos Hermanos<\/strong> and La Bajeta<\/strong> <\/span>where you can change the scenery if one of them is full of people.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mesa del Mar<\/strong>:<\/span> Continuing our path from north to south, Mesa del Mar offers a bottom of sand and stone. It has two places with different difficulties on the same beach. At the beginning of the beach you will find a rocky area of medium-high difficulty that requires high tide to be able to surf due to the large rocks at the bottom. This area has the most consistent waves. At the end of the bathing area, there is a rocky reef that requires high tide to take advantage of the waves. It is a location for beginners, with summer, spring and autumn being the optimal time. The wind in this enclave is south or southeast. <\/span><\/p>\n

La Caleta<\/strong>:<\/span> In the south of the island, in<\/span> Adeje<\/strong><\/span>, with a volcanic reef-covered ground and medium difficulty, this area for intermediate and expert surfers is best enjoyed in summer during low and mid tide. The wind is usually north, east and southeast. <\/span><\/p>\n

Las Galletas<\/strong>:<\/span> To this beach of<\/span> Arona<\/strong><\/span> It is best to go in summer, during low or medium tide. With a volcanic reef bottom of intermediate difficulty, and north, northeast and east winds, it is a somewhat frequented area so expect company when you go. <\/span><\/p>\n

Las Americas<\/strong>:<\/span> The most frequented location by far on the list. <\/span>Las<\/span> Americas Beach <\/span><\/strong> <\/strong><\/span>It is a very popular area where you will have an experience of intermediate difficulty in autumn, winter and spring, with north, northeast and east winds. It is best to go during high or rising tide. With volcanic reef bottoms, in a very touristy area of the island. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
