Sports tourism is one of the main reasons that many travellers have to come to Tenerife<\/a><\/span>. Water and adventure sports abound among them, but golf also has its space on the island. Golf del Sur de Tenerife is probably the best place to practice this sport in all the Canary Islands<\/b>. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>

This tourist complex is home to one of the highest level courses in Spain<\/b>.<\/span> With 27 holes, divided into three 9-hole courses (all of them par 72), it has hosted the Tenerife Open (PGA European Volvo Tour) four times in the early 90s, and twice the Tenerife Ladies Open (2002 and 2007). He has also witnessed two long drive world records, both by Karl Woodward, who surpassed the 400-yard barrier. <\/span><\/p>

Three racing courses with a demanding layout<\/span><\/span> in a magnificent environment<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>

The Golf del Sur de Tenerife occupies an area of 800,000 square metres that extends right next to the Atlantic coast of Tenerife, which makes it a great viewpoint of the sea<\/b>.<\/span> The course was designed by Pepe Gancedo and remodeled in 2005 by Manuel Pi\u00f1ero thinking so much about offering players an enjoyment that goes beyond the game. <\/span><\/p>

Apart from the many services offered by the club, the course hosts numerous tournaments and events. It should be noted that it has ISO 14001 and Biosphere Golf certifications<\/b><\/b>, which guarantee sustainable and responsible practices with respect to the environment and local economic and social development.<\/b><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

One of the great attractions of Golf del Sur de Tenerife is, in the words of the players themselves, the “local touch” that does not let us forget where we are. Thus, the volcanic sand, very dark, of the bunkers, or the ochre rock ravine (so typical of the area) that flanks hole 3 of the North course are <\/span> the distinctive note that Tenerife’s geology brings to the route<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

At this point it is not necessary to mention the<\/span> <\/span>Excellent climate<\/span> <\/strong>enjoyed by Golf del Sur, Tenerife and the rest of the Canary archipelago. One <\/span> mild temperature and clear skies<\/span><\/a> Throughout the year they make any date on the calendar perfect to come and play here. The native vegetation surrounding the course and the local fauna, especially birds, are also very attractive to players. <\/span><\/span><\/p>

Its<\/span> location on the island<\/a> <\/span> is another great attraction. Located in the exclusive setting of the coast of San Miguel de Abona, very close to Tenerife South airport and not too far from Los Cristianos, access is easy and fast, and offers numerous and varied leisure options<\/strong> nearby for those moments when we want to get off the green. <\/span><\/span><\/p>

In addition,<\/span> with the Marina San Miguel right next door<\/strong><\/span>, with its modern nautical facilities, there is no excuse not to combine golf with other sports, excursions to the impressive natural surroundings of the island, its most picturesque villages and, of course, its excellent beaches (Monta\u00f1a Roja, El M\u00e9dano or Los Abrigos are right next door).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
