class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.webtenerife.co.uk\/tenerife\/climatology\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tenerife&#8217;s climate<\/a> (subtropical) makes the island a holiday destination that can boast of having good weather at all times of the year. <span style=\"color: #109bc5;\"><strong>In summer, the temperature is warm but not suffocating<\/strong><\/span>, as is the case in other areas of Spain during these months. And in winter, temperatures are characterized by being mild and temperate. <\/p><p>In short, normal values range between 17\u00ba in winter and 25\u00ba in summer, thus having an average annual temperature of 23\u00ba. Therefore, there are no sudden changes in temperature during the different seasons and this is thanks to different characteristics and atmospheric conditions: <\/p><p>Cold ocean currents.<\/p><p>The proximity of the Canary Islands to the Tropic of Cancer.<\/p><p>The trade winds.<\/p><p>The orography of the island.<\/p><p><span style=\"color: #109bc5;\"><strong>We cannot talk about the climate of Tenerife without mentioning the microclimates.<\/strong><\/span>  And it is that in the same day it is possible to find different weather conditions. This often surprises and causes confusion for many travelers. Amazing, right? <span style=\"color: #109bc5;\"><strong> The explanation for this phenomenon is the orography of the island together with the orientation <\/strong><\/span>(wet or dry slope). In short, the climate in Costa Adeje, for example, is different from the climate in other areas of the north of the island. Here you can check the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aemet.es\/en\/eltiempo\/prediccion\/municipios?p=38\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">weather by municipality<\/a>.   <\/p><p>In the coastal areas, warm temperatures predominate thanks to the influence of the sea, with an average temperature ranging between 19\u00ba and 23\u00ba. Above 600 meters and up to 1500 meters, we find somewhat colder temperatures, as well as higher humidity. And if we continue ascending we can even enjoy some snowfall in winter. The higher the altitude, the greater the contrast in temperatures between day and night. Remember that Tenerife is home to the highest point in Spain: the Teide volcano with its 3718 meters of altitude.    <\/p><p><em>Local tip: it is advisable to bring some warm clothes when visiting our island, especially in the winter months. It is common to see tourists in the Teide National Park wearing clothing that is not suitable for its high mountain weather conditions.
