What is the Segway?
The Segway It is a two-wheeled electric gyroscopic personal transport vehicle. The self-balancing is computer-controlled, so you don’t have to worry about leaning over a bit and falling, as the device is operated by swinging you in the direction you want to go. Most models can move up to 10km/h and some upto 15km/h.
Segways Were Invented in 2001 by Dean Kamen, and over the years, they have become another means of transport in different parts of the world. Their price has dropped a lot since they started building serial models.

Where can I go on Segway tours in Tenerife?
You have three options, two in the north and one in the south of the island.
Ecologic Segway Sports Tenerife: operates in the south of Tenerife, making tours of the wonderful area of Oasis del Sur. The minimum age to drive a Segway is 6 years old. They have two tours: one of 9 km and the other of 18 km. They organize excursions every day of the week except Sundays and do not offer transportation to the starting point. On the 2-hour tour, groups are limited to 6 people in order to maintain cohesion and to guarantee personalized attention and instruction.
Segway Experience: this time in the north of the island, organize excursions around Puerto de La Cruz of 1 or 2 hours. These tours will take you all over the city with the help of specialist guides. You will pass through a multitude of parks, cafes, historical points of interest and paths near the sea. Perfect for a relaxing day in this beautiful city.
Electran Tours Tenerife: brings to the table personalized tours of between half an hour and two hours. You will be able to see the most interesting corners of El Puerto de La Cruz such as the Castle of San Felipe, Playa Jardín, the fishing port or the busy promenade of the palm trees. Tours are available for groups of 2 to 6 people.
