Discover diving in Tenerife
If you want to carry out diving in Tenerife, you can do it in a multitude of enclaves along the coast. Here you will enjoy different scenarios thanks to the volcanic nature of the island. Bottoms of stone, sand and volcanic rock reefs, along with wrecks and shipwrecks, dominate the landscape.
For some reason, during diving, stress stays on the surface.
Scuba diving is very common in Tenerife, you have all kinds of outings for different levels of difficulty. You will be able to observe varied and surprising underwater landscapes. Whether you’ve never dived before or you’re a veteran who wants to get to know the deep sea surrounding the island, there’s a dive company for you in Tenerife. If it is your first time, there is the possibility of doing diving baptisms in most of the companies that we indicate below.
Any time is good to practice diving, but you have to take into account two factors: in summer there is a greater influence of tourists and it is more likely that you will have company diving. In winter, although the weather on the islands is usually good, the same cannot be said for the sea.
If the tour is cancelled due to bad weather, you will be offered another day to take the tour or a refund.

What can I expect from diving in Tenerife?
If you want to dive on your own, you will need to be registered with recognized diving organizations such as PADI, SSI, ACUC, NAUI and so on. If you don’t have the license, you won’t be able to rent the equipment (it’s illegal to scuba dive without one of these licenses and carries fines of at least €100 to €200).
If you are a novice or do not yet have the license, there are courses of approximately 5 hours that will provide you with this degree in one of the organizations recognized at European or Spanish level. Once you are registered in the database, you can rent diving equipment.
Whether it’s your first time or you’ve been doing it all your life, remember to always have a companion, no exceptions. Scuba diving is an activity that should not be done alone.
