The essential equipment for your adventure
Ready to enter the untamed nature of the north of Tenerife? Do you know what to bring to Masca to enjoy the experience to the fullest?
The most important thing is to keep your eyes wide open
The essential equipment for your adventure
If you are planning a visit to Masca, one of the wonders of Tenerife, you will surely want to enter the most secret trails of the valley and walk through its ravines until you reach remote beaches… Quite an adventure. Keep reading, we tell you what to bring to Masca so that nothing prevents you from an intense day of outdoor enjoyment.
There are three fundamental pieces in any visit to the Masca valley: the hamlet itself, the Masca ravine and the Masca beach. To get to the first one we would simply recommend patience and a paper bag, in case the curves (practically infinite) play tricks on you. Don’t forget the camera!
You'll need typical hiking gear
The ravine must be taken more seriously. Suitable footwear (hiking boots) is essential, as well as comfortable and long clothing, but not loose, to avoid untimely snags. If you’re hot, roll up your sleeves! Apart from that, a hat, sunscreen and plenty of water cannot be missing from your backpack. If you add an elementary first aid kit and a charged mobile phone, all the better.
Bring your snack
For the beach, well, don’t forget your swimsuit and towel, of course. In any case, we are talking about a Wild beach of Callaos, so you should take all the precautions imaginable before getting into the water.
Oh, and if you don’t want to have to walk back up the ravine, you’d better remember to take your reservation for the boat, or at least enough cash to pay for your passage to Los Gigantes…
