How to get to Anaga
The Anaga Rural Park is a protected natural area declared a Biosphere Reserve in 2015. If we look at the map of Anaga we can see that it occupies part of the municipalities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, San Cristóbal de La Laguna and Tegueste. Tenerife North Airport is located approximately 18 kilometres away, while Tenerife South Airport – Reina Sofia is 75 kilometres away.

On the map of Anaga you will be able to distinguish the main road that crosses the park: the TF-12. At the beginning of it is the Anaga Rural Park Visitor Centre, where you can get all the information you need to make your experience as complete as possible. Along the way you will pass through small and picturesque hamlets: El Batán, Chamorga, Afur, Taganana, Almáciga, San Andrés, Benijo, Catalanes, among others. In total, 26 farmhouses where you can make a stop during your route through the Anaga Rural Park.
To visit the coast we will have to turn off the TF-12 when we reach the area known as the Bailadero. As you can see on the map of Anaga, it is the TF-134 that will take you to the spectacular beaches: Playa de Taganana or Roque de las Bodegas, Playa de Almáciga and Playa de Benijo. If, on the other hand, you continue along the TF-12 without turning off, you will arrive at San Andrés, where the popular Playa de las Teresitas is located.
